Daewoo Express join hands with Total Parco
In a ceremony held at Total Parco Head Office Lahore, Mr. Olivier Sabrie, Chief Executive Officer Total Parco and Mr. Shaheryar Chishty, Chief Executive Officer, Daewoo Express signed an agreement to formalize the strategic alliance. Under the strategic alliance, Total Parco shall be the exclusive supplier of lubricants to Daewoo Express, while Daewoo Express shall advertise Total Parco lubricants brands through Daewoo media.
“We are pleased to be a partner of Daewoo Express and surely this agreement will usher in a new era for TPPL towards being the fastest growing oil company in Pakistan”, said Mr. Olivier Sabrie at the occasion. Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Shaheryar Chishty, said, “While we continue to expand our bus fleet and service network across the country, it is most appropriate to synergize with Total Parco which is the fastest growing oil company in Pakistan”.
Daewoo Express partners with Zong
Daewoo Pakistan Express Bus Service Ltd, has partnered with Zong to provide 4G internet connectivity in Daewoo Inter-city Buses, Cabs and Corporate Offices.
With this partnership, passengers of Daewoo Pakistan will now be able to enjoy the fastest 4G internet speeds with Zong 4G internet on over 35 routes across Pakistan moving across M1, M2, M3 and M4 and all connecting roads as well. In addition, Zong has also signed a branding and promotion deal with Daewoo Pakistan Express Bus Service.
In an agreement signed at Zong HQ Islamabad dated November 28, 2016, Mr. Liu Dianfeng, Chairman & CEO Zong and Mr. Faisal Ahmed SiddiquiÂ President DaewooÂ Pakistan Express Bus Service, formalized the partnership.
It is to be noted that Zong currently provides 4G coverage in over 200 cities nationwide through a network of 5,000 4G sites. By the end of this year, Zong will add an additional 1,000 4G sites to provide seamless 4G connectivity to millions of Pakistanis.
Daewoo has chosen to enter into this partnership with Zong because of the highest 4G internet speeds in the industry and the widest coverage across all Daewoo Inter-city routes nationwide.
Daewoo Express goes mobile!
Our new app has been launched which enables the user to buy a ticket from his mobile phone using a credit card or from his Daewoo miles.
Other features of the app include:
- Checking of bus schedules
- Booking of seats - only available for our Daewoo Miles customers
The app has been launched for both the Android and the iOS platforms and can be downloaded from the respected app stores.
Daewoo Express Launches Lahore DHA Bus Service
Lahore, 1st December 2015. Pakistan's largest transport company, Daewoo Pakistan Express Bus Service Ltd, in collaboration with Defence Housing Authority, Lahore, inaugurated an international standard urban bus service today which shall operate within DHA while also servicing its periphery.
The inauguration ceremony was held today at the newly constructed DHA Bus Service terminal at Bedian Road. Speaking at the occasion the Chief Guest, Brig. Zafar Yasin Babar, Administrator DHA Lahore, emphasized the importance of public transport in today's fast-paced world and praised the managements of both Daewoo Express and DHA Lahore, for their tireless efforts to transform a commendable idea into reality. The President, Daewoo Express, Mr. C.I. Park, while addressing the gathering, stressed the need for developing transport infrastructure and appreciated the initiative jointly taken by Daewoo Express & DHA on these lines. He paid tribute to the Administrator DHA and his team for their public friendly town management and forward thinking.
Daewoo Express has been operating the "Lahore City Bus Service" for the last 17 years and was the first international company to operate a city bus service in Pakistan. At the time, it was the first time in Pakistan's history, that air-conditioned diesel buses were introduced in urban/domestic public transport. The new Lahore DHA bus service comprises of international standard air conditioned buses equipped with WiFi. In keeping with its tradition, Daewoo Express has launched these state-of-the-art buses which, for the first time in Pakistan, are fitted with Euro-3 engines which produce 75% less emissions (pollution) compared to other diesel buses.
Daewoo Express, growing bigtime!
Pakistan's biggest Inter-city bus operator, Daewoo Express is growing big time. Since its inception in 1997, Daewoo Express has grown with the tick of clock. Today, it's offering international standard transportation services from 60 stations across Pakistan. Over 500,000 passengers travel across 60 stations of Punjab, Sindh & Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa via Daewoo Express every month.
In the year 2015 only, Daewoo Express initiated its operations from Four (4) more stations namely Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Nawabshah & Khairpur. Latest addition to this list is Arifwala, which is to go up from November 27, 2015. In addition to this Daewoo Express uplifted its terminals in some of its major stations Dera Ghanzi Khan, Sahiwal & Jhang.
Furthermore, Daewoo Express also started operations from its 2nd Terminal in Lahore, located in Defence Housing Authority, phase 5 which is part of the larger vision of company's management.
Daewoo Express Partners with DHA Lahore to Launch a Landmark Project
Lahore, October 01, 2015. Pakistan's largest transport company, Daewoo Pakistan Express Bus Service Ltd, in collaboration with Defence Housing Authority, Lahore, has initiated a historic project of setting up international standard transport facilities and other amenities for residents of DHA and surrounding areas. The project comprises of 3 distinct facilities: (1) Inter-city express bus service operating directly to and from DHA Lahore; (2) DHA local bus service running within DHA and touching its periphery; and (3) Construction of a state-of-the-art Bus Terminal-cum-Shopping Mall in DHA Phase-5.
The first part of the historic project was inaugurated on 22nd September 2015 with the start of bus operations from Daewoo's 2nd Terminal in Lahore (DHA Phase-5). In an impressive inauguration ceremony in DHA Lahore, the Chief Guest, Lt Gen Naweed Zaman, HI (M), President DHA Lahore & Commander 4 Corps, praised the managements of both Daewoo Express and DHA Lahore, for their tireless efforts to transform a commendable idea into reality. The Guest of Honor, His Excellency Dr. Jong Hwan Song, the Ambassador of Republic of Korea, while addressing the gathering, stressed the need for developing transport infrastructure and appreciated the initiative jointly taken by Daewoo Express & DHA on these lines.
Daewoo's 2nd bus terminal in DHA Phase-5 has connected DHA Lahore with major cities through direct bus departures to and from DHA. Another segment of this project will be the DHA local bus service which is expected to start operations around 15th October.
